Mahoney Engineering provided Professional Land Surveying and Civil Engineering for the vacation of the City of Austin Right of Way (ROW) of Middle Fiskville Road at the intersection of Middle Fiskville and Airport Boulevard.  As part of the vacation, we provided a dedication of land for the extension of East 56th Street.  The project included intersection design and is currently obtaining entitlements for the associated pavement, storm, and wastewater improvements.  These improvements also included vehicular, pedestrian, and bicycle infrastructure upgrades.  Mahoney Engineering obtain a non-land use consolidated site development permit and traffic control plan approval from the City of Austin.  One of the key design elements was incorporating the Red Line Parkway through the project.  Middle Fiskville was established in 1916 as a County Road called Patterson Road to connect Austin to the town of Middle Fiskville and was 10.8 varas wide or 30 feet in today’s standard measurements.
