Southeast Crossing is a large-scale industrial development in Southeast Austin, located on land that was originally part of a former Lockheed Martin site near the airport. The project involves multiple parcels being developed into industrial buildings for logistics and commercial use. This required navigating a complex Planned Development District (PDD) zoning framework while balancing floodplain considerations, infrastructure requirements, and historical site constraints. Mahoney Engineering led site development and permitting efforts, coordinating across multiple parcels and stakeholders, integrating critical survey and utility data, and designing solutions around existing floodplain and detention conditions. Through proactive planning and coordination, the team achieved an expedited site plan approval process and supported the successful development of seven industrial buildings in a strategic logistics hub near major transportation corridors and the airport.
