Truck City
Two-phase commercial vehicle service facility development including site infrastructure (parking, rain garden, regional detention/water quality pond) and a unique underground detention system at the I-35 frontage.
This two-phase development included initial site infrastructure improvements, such as parking facilities, a rain garden, and a regional detention and water quality pond, followed by the construction of a large commercial vehicle service facility. The project required innovative stormwater management solutions due to the site's flat topography and drainage constraints near the I-35 frontage. Mahoney Engineering designed and implemented a unique underground detention and water quality system, strategically integrating it with surface detention facilities to balance runoff across the site while meeting City of Buda requirements. Through careful drainage planning, grading design, and coordination, the team successfully completed the stormwater infrastructure, delivered an effective long-term drainage solution, and achieved project approvals within the anticipated schedule.
